Bergianti Perfranco Lambrusco
Bergianti PerFranco (also produced under the Terrevive estate) is an artisanal, biodynamic sparkling rosé crafted in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, by winemaker Gianluca Bergianti. Named for his grandfather, this highly acclaimed, bone-dry wine is crafted using indigenous Lambrusco Salamino (or Sorbara) grapes and the metodo ancestrale (ancestral method).
Pale in hue, it pours a lightly hazy salmon in the glass, yet its overall spirit is vinous and serious. With a blast of mouthwatering acidity with notes of wild strawberries, pink grapefruit, red apple, and fresh herbs.
Organic and biodynamic farming. It undergoes spontaneous fermentation in cement and finishes refermentation in the bottle, using must from the same vintage rather than added sugars.
