Twyfeling Cinsaut Bosman Family Vineyards 2023

Cinsault -- is a workhorse grape in South Africa, usually cultivated from bush vines. This is a modern take on a old and neglected champion of Cape winemaking. Sorted, de-stemmed, slightly crushed grapes fermented at lower temperatures (24-26 C) and matured in a 225l and a second and third fill French oak barrels. Natural, rustic, delicious. Deep plum center with purple rim. Lovely fresh berry flavors with hints of tobacco, spice, and savory notes. Luscious and concentrated although of medium body. A bold wine with an elegant structure.
