Santa Julia El Burro Malbec 2025

This natural Malbec comes from Santa Julia, the Mendoza winery founded by the Zuccardi family in 1996 and named for Julia Zuccardi. Santa Julia is among Argentina’s largest organic producers and was the first winery in the country to earn Fair for Life certification. The wine is named for a family donkey.

The fruit is 100% Malbec from the certified organic Finca Maipú, a warm site about 650 meters above sea level. It ferments spontaneously with native yeasts and is bottled unfined and unfiltered, with no added sulfites, and it is vegan.

In the glass it shows deep red with violet highlights, ripe blackberry and plum, and a light touch of spice on a juicy, approachable palate. It’s an easygoing bottle for grilled meats, pizza, or weeknight dinners.
