Fratelli Cozza Prosecco DOC Extra Dry 750ml
A lively and elegant DRY sparkling wine with aromas of white flowers, golden apple, and hints of citrus. On the palate, soft, fine bubbles carry fresh fruit flavors balanced by crisp acidity. Its clean, refreshing finish makes it a bright and approachable choice for any occasion at a real value.
Fratelli Cozza is a family-run estate in Veneto led today by Stefano Cozza and his nephew Dario Cozza, who returned to Italy after working in California winemaking. The estate focuses on organically farmed vineyards and a cleaner, drier expression of Prosecco than is often seen from the category. The Glera grapes are grown on gently sloping hills with limestone-rich clay soils, where warm daytime temperatures are balanced by cooler nights descending from the nearby Alps. That temperature swing helps preserve acidity and aromatic freshness in the fruit.
The wine is made using the Charmat method, in which the secondary fermentation--the process that creates the bubbles--takes place in large stainless steel tanks rather than in individual bottles. This approach preserves the grape’s bright floral and citrus character while creating a softer, more approachable texture. The result is fresh and energetic, with notes of green pear, lemon zest, white flowers, and a faint almond bitterness on the finish. Try it with fried seafood, salty cheeses, or simple antipasti.
