Gigondas Domaine de Durban 2023

Unfiltered, aged 6 months in concrete tanks. From vines planted on the distinctive Trias terroir—an ancient Triassic limestone formation that ordinarily lies thousands of feet underground but was carried to the surface during the mountain formation. This generous wine, very fruity, powerful, distinctly smoky and sculpted, with structured tannins, and a whiff of wild violet. Slightly spicy, has a round and supple finish.  In harmony with cheeses: red meats and game.
