Huet Vouvray Brut Pétillant 2019

Bottled before primary fermentation is finished resulting in a lower pressure sparkling wine, or pétillant. Dry and aromatic on the palate and a delight with fried chicken as the acidity and aromatics work well with the richness of the dish.  This sparkler is a beauty: aromas of pineapple chunks, honeysuckle, and chamomile tea just waver in the glass. There is a thick, intense richness to the mousse complemented by just the right amount of dosage accentuating the wine’s tropical fruit and floral notes and its cool mineral backbone. A glistening alternative to Champagne!
