Day Wines Dazzles of Light 2023

The fleshy Chardonnay elements dominate but are brightened by Sauvignon Blanc and Melon de Bourgogne. All three varieties combine wonderfully—rich, tangy citrus aromatics with Meyer lemon pulp, clover honey and a chalky minerality. The palate carries the weight of Chardonnay, accented by the Melon de Bourgogne's mouthfeel and lifted by a brightness from the Sauvignon Blanc. Tropical pineapple flavours cut against tart lemon, green mangoes and a succulent mandarin pulp finish.  For this wine all fruit was direct pressed and cold settled for 24 hours before being racked to 5 year old French oak barrels for spontaneous primary and malolactic fermentation
