Umathum Rosa 2024

Umathum Rosa is a critically acclaimed, serious Austrian rosé from the Burgenland region. Crafted by the iconic biodynamic winemaker Josef Umathum, it is a vibrant blend of Austria’s three flagship red grapes: Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent, and Zweigelt. 

Umathum's styling is always decidedly minimal intervention, featuring biodynamic farming and hand harvest. Vines are up to 45 years old and bring a complex minerality from the gravel, schist soils throughout the estate. This compelling and unique rose is prepared in the 'saignee style' where the Red varieties are vinified with skin contact to accentuate the flavor and color.
