Bouchard Roses de Jeanne Val Vilaine Blanc de Noirs 2023
Cédric Bouchard’s Roses de Jeanne “VV/R23” is a pure expression of Pinot Noir from the Val Vilaine vineyard in the Côte des Bar. Sourced from old vines and produced in very small quantities, this Blanc de Noirs reflects Bouchard’s precision-driven approach — low yields, single-parcel vinification, and a focus on expressing the vineyard’s character without artifice.
The 2023 vintage opens with aromas of redcurrant, white peach, and citrus oil. On the palate, it is focused and vibrant, with flavors of ripe orchard fruit, chalk, and subtle spice. A fine, persistent mousse and bright acidity give the wine lift and tension, leading to a long, mineral finish that lingers with notes of stone and citrus zest.
A Champagne of detail and energy, it captures the clarity and finesse that define Bouchard’s work in the Aube.
