Bouchard Val Vilaine Blanc de Noirs VV/R24
This is the wine that defined just how good a Champagne can be. There is no better grower and no better producer than Cédric Bouchard.
Bouchard coaxes incredible nuance and complexity out of these 40 year-old Pinot Noir vines. With only 15-16 months sur lattes, this bright, vinous and citrus-centric bottling is the perfect introduction to the Bouchardian style. Bouchard's NV Blanc de Noirs Côte de Val Vilaine is fleshy and dramatic, bursting with aromas of pear, warm bread, orange oil, nutmeg and beeswax. Medium to full-bodied, textural and enveloping, it's one of the most gourmand, generous renditions of Val Vilaine to date, yet it remains beautifully precise and vibrant—even racy.
Biodynamic. 100% Pinot Noir from the 1.5 hectare lieu-dit of Val Vilaine. 300-500 cases produced annually.
