Chateau Malescot Saint Exupery 2016
Château Malescot Saint-Exupéry is a historically rich (1697), highly regarded estate located right in the heart of the town of Margaux in the Bordeaux region of France. It holds the status of a Third Growth (Troisième Cru) under the monumental Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. The vineyards thrive on Pyrenean gravel mixed with clay-limestone soils. A classic local proverb perfectly describes their prime location: the best terroirs are those that "overlook the river".
A stunning red with currants, blackberries, roses and violets. Medium to full body, ultra-fine tannins and polish and finesse to the powerful tannins. A real stunner. Roughly 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot
