This site is almost always our last Pinot pick of harvest. Although it's a relatively low-elevation site, due to its proximity to the coast and the winds that howl through the Van Duzer Corridor every summer afternoon, the fruit here tends to ripen later than in our other vineyards. The soils are primarily marine sediment with grantic glacial erratics, and the finished wines certainly are influenced by this composition in their structure and tension.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDeep red berry core allied to a beguiling spice component that makes for a classic southern Willamette profile.
