H Lignier Volnay 2023

This wine is part of a relatively new addition to the Hubert Lignier portfolio following the acquisition of vineyards from Domaine Gerbault in Monthélie, which began organic conversion in 2022. It represents the producer's expansion into the Côte de Beaune.  3 barrels of 350 litres, some in Ez Blanches and Echards. Mid ruby to crimson. A fine elegant nose,  with alpine strawberries that dance across the palate. Deliciously silky persistence to the finish yet structured profile. The wine is expected to mature well between 2030 and 2035.
