Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc 2023

The village Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc, which historically stated the lieu dit 'Les Masures', will no longer carry that lieu dit starting with the 2021 vintage. This was a decision by fourth-generation Antonin Pillot (Jean-Marc's son), who prefers a blend wine from the estate’s seven Chassagne parcels--which he says add acidity and concentration--versus the character of the Masures-only version. 

This is a classically rendered Chassagne-Montrachet, one which deftly balances rich, mouth-filling orchard fruit with a powerful mineral thrust, and a creamy texture balanced by high energy citrus acidity in the finish which gives it length and breed.
