Musar Jeune Blanc 2024
This Lebanese white is the bright, early-drinking side of Château Musar, the Bekaa Valley estate founded in 1930 and still Lebanon’s most celebrated name in wine. The Jeune range was created to show off fresh, youthful fruit rather than the long cellar aging the house is famous for.
It blends Viognier, Vermentino, and Chardonnay from organically certified vineyards about 1,000 meters above sea level. Vermentino and Chardonnay grow on limestone, and Viognier grows on silty soils. The wine is unoaked to keep it pure and lively. Expect aromas of ripe peach and apricot, a hint of pineapple, and a light herbal lift. The palate is smooth and balanced, with zesty citrus freshness.
Serve it lightly chilled with grilled seafood, shellfish, pork, or a spread of mezze.
